Summer Fun ends the Friday before Labor Day
Where outdoor learning on our large campus allows Nature to Inform, Teachers to Instruct and Children to Blossom. Our fun themes include the following:
STEM (Science, Tech, Engineering and Math): building logical thinking and problem solving skills through enquiry and exploration- Animal Adventures: to learn about beautiful, fun and maybe strange animals
- Codes: how do things work? lets explore code
- Engineering: how to build simple machines that make life easier
- Science in the Kitchen: Biology & chemistry as we mix ingredients and eat healthy
- Earth, Moon and Stars: sneak peek into the universe
- Robotics: make my own robots
- Nature: seeds, plants, trees, flowers and fruits
- Critters & Bugs: exploring creatures
The ARTS: developing and sustaining each child's natural curiosity, expressiveness and creativity- Books are alive: creating characters, environments and stories
- Create masterpieces: Paint, draw, sculpt using different media
- Hollywood Lights, camera and action-maybe puppets too…
- Rock & Roll: sing, dance to music and instruments
HISTORY & SOCIAL SCIENCE: building knowledge, skills and attitude needed in community life through play- Secret Agent: clues, maps and investigations
- Around the world in 5 days: introduction to multiculturalism
- Earth Explorers: Earth, Rocks & Crust- the layers of earth
- My favorites places to visit in America: discover landmarks, culture & history
FUN: Encouraging the love of learning- Circus Circus: walking, juggling, balancing, clowns and more
- Game Time: Playing familiar and new sports
- Wits & Ends: outdoor play to use ones wits to get to the end
- Beach time: play in the sand, make castles, enjoy the sun
